Hello all,
Have been really busy with the exams.. happy to plunge back!!
There has been a lot of discussion over the recent anti corruption awareness amongst us, catalysed by the visionaries which are role models for many. Many of us 'like' them on facebook, some lie prostrate on couches and hold domestic debates, yet some of us write articles in newspapers, others like myself blog on them.. But the question is: does that suffice ?? Is our responsibility as innate citizens over??
There is one thing which always prods my soul- Is getting into Army, Civil Services, Government or Politics is the only way to be a part of the 'System' that we blame so often? Our constitution is not weak, weak are we! We elect the people and send them to the House. We, fail to resist or protest when we see the downright injustice occuring everywhere, despite the fact that the real power lies with us..
Don't we often say or hear "arrey yaar system hi kharaab hai.." "Saala chapraasi se le ke collector tak sab nikamme hain"..."kuch accha karo toh bhi akele kya kar loge" and a plethora of such pessimist excuses? Have we ever tried to ponder over the very evident and apparent truth that slaps hard on the larger mass of our population (which is in fact the backbone of our democracy)?? The answer is a big shameless NO
Its high time we realise and empower ourselves. I proudly proclaim that my Constitution is such an ideal constitution that it provides me with numerous rights and bestows me with certain Duties.. In Mother Tersa's Words- "A revolution does not need a leader, it has to be brought- person to person"!! If i set u thinking, the wheels are already in motion!!
